After reading someone you love, wait at least an hour before starting to write

Matty Healy
About This Quote

When you read and love a book and then you finish it, you should at least give yourself an hour to let the book sink in before starting to write. This gives you enough time to think about the book and its ideas. This will help you come up with your own thoughts and ideas about the book. While writing, after an hour or so, write as fast as you can because your thoughts will probably come faster than your hand can write them. If you don’t let your thoughts free to run, they will never be found because they will be lost in those thoughts.
